The incident happened on the Mein Schiff 5 cruise ship.

A German couple is suing a cruise line after being kicked off a ship for allegedly making too much noise while having sex.

The duo, who are only identified as Renate F. and her husband Volker, say they were on the first day of a two-week Caribbean holiday with Tui Cruises.

The amorous couple say they forgot to close the balcony door and admit to being quite vocal.

Then afterwards they got into a loud fight, although they say there was no violence or damage to the room.

The ship’s hotel manager and a member of security then paid them a visit and told them they had to leave the ship.

They were left stranded in Barbados and had to fork out thousands of dollars for new flights.

Renate told German newspaper the Reise Reporter that she has been left scarred by the circumstances, and that the tour company and the captain had neglected their duty of care and left them helpless. The couple want compensation and reimbursement of travel expenses.

A spokeswoman for Tui Cruises told the newspaper that “due to a security related incident … we asked the guests to leave the ship”.

“There has already been correspondence with Mrs F. in which we have set our our view of things. Please understand that we do not want to comment on the privacy of our guests in detail.”
